ABOUT US
We were founded in 1999 after "retiring" in 1983 from the show world and Afghan Hounds. I was given my first Afghan for my birthday present in 1967 and was immediately biten by the dogshow bug. I showed Afghans for 16 years, my last one was purchased from the Coastwind Kennels of Michael Dunham and Richard Souza. Am/Int'l Ch Coastwind Obsidian was the first black Afghan and second Afghan in the history of California to win an All Breed BIS in 1977, he was also a multiple Specialty winner. He was sent to Germany for 1 1/2 years and completed his International Championship in Europe becoming the first American owned and bred Afghan to do so. I later met and married my husband and we have three children. In 1999 we decided it was time to add a dog to our happy family so we brought home our first Pomeranian. Chewie was purchased as a pet and he still rules our household! Our next big purchase was our foundation bitch, Pinecrest's Styled 4 Chinadoll aka Angel, from Pinecrest Pomeranians in Canada, who rules alongside Chewie now! We do not breed very often and raise all of our Pomeranians in our home. They are our pets and companions first and foremost. We breed for soundness and type, we believe a healthy/sound pomeranian makes a better pet. Any litters bred are to provide us with our next show dog, after our needs are met any remaining puppies are carefully placed in their "forever" homes. We also occasionally have young adults available, these are either retired show dogs or puppies we have "grown out" and have decided not to keep for showing but will make wonderful companions.
